For those of you keeping track, I did my five miles last night around 10:00 PM when I returned from Arabic class...I also ran three this morning, so I'm back on track. Woo hoo!
Too early for that much excitement? Well, considering that I did my mileage on a treadmill and I abhor running inside; I'm pretty proud of myself. Rain has hit the D.C. area...actually, that's an understatement. Rain has blanketed the D.C. area for the next few days and forced me to run on a loop like a hamster in a wheel. That's what I dislike so much about treadmills. All that running, and you get NOWHERE!
On the otherhand, running inside has forced me to strap on the iPod and jam out to my favorite songs. I'll give you a quick rundown of my playlist from this morning (for 5 miles, it would take too much time).
Kathleen Edwards- Buffalo (good song to get you started)
T-Pain- I'm Sprung (couldn't resist)
Sugarland- Want To (I mouth the words and don't think about running)
Keri Hilson- Turning Me On (almost has me dancing on the treadmill)
Florence + the Machine- Cosmic Love (love, love, love anything by them right now!!!)
Kings of Leon- Use Somebody (karaoke song - one of my faves)
Dalton Academy Warblers- Silly Love Songs (this makes me smile)
Talking Heads- Psycho Killer (classic)
Hedley- Perfect (heard this in a bowling alley in Idaho Falls...yeah, Bowl-ero)
Yeah, it's kind of an eclectic mix, but I'm an eclectic girl! :)
Hope the weather is better wherever you are and you have sunshine on your shoulders and dry pavement beneath your tennies. In the meantime, I'll be rocking out to my awesome playlist.
Happy running!
I'd appreciate your dedication more if it wasn't so obvious that you really enjoy your workouts! Still, running five late at nine and three in the morning: Have to respect that!
ReplyDeleteI spent some time on the trainer tonight, but will just say that it will be a while before I work my way up to three miles... keep on rockin'!
