Tuesday Edition

It just feels like it's going to be one of those weeks...

After getting caught in the rain during my sixteen mile run this weekend (wearing an all white outfit, mind you) and Cameron wetting her cage in her sleep last night (yep, just like a little kid peeing the bed), I knew it was going to be a rough week.  Today, I have a conference call with my dear friends in South Korea scheduled for 8:00...that's 8:00 PM, not 8:00 AM.  Needless to say, I'm less than thrilled to be at the office until 9:30 tonight when I should be at home snuggled up with Cam and watching Glee.

Thank God for DVR!

If there's one bright spot in the week, it's the fact that I am FINALLY getting a Friday off work, and I really need it.  I haven't had time to take my suits to the cleaners, wash my car, clean the apartment and do a lot of other things that I typically do on my AWS days.  Also, it wouldn't hurt for me to go to the grocery store - one can only live on Chinese leftovers, Greek yogurt and salads for so long.  And I found last night's dinner of yogurt and a salad less than satisfying.

I've hit a point in my training where I feel like I have a good rhythm going.  The miles are coming a lot more easily (thanks in part to the new shoes and getting in better running shape), and it actually feels like the road is coming up to meet me when my feet hit the pavement.  I'm feeling the toll of my weekend runs, but I'm also beginning to recall the sense of accomplishment I felt when I was training for Baltimore.  Who doesn't feel like a grade A badass after running 15, 16, 17 (and so on) miles?

Maybe I'm just silly, but I am looking forward to my marathon in Montana more and more every day.

Today is super busy, so I apologize for the short post.  I'll be back tomorrow with a longer post and possibly a quick Glee recap.

Happy running!

Hopefully, you will stop by and check out my blog (http://yummommy.blogspot.com) and wishing you good luck with the marathon training!
